Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Holy Bible is the absolute authority for Christian living written in revelation of God with 66 books of Scripture and are verbally inspired (II Timothy 3:16), infallible, God-breathed and (in the original documents) absolutely inerrant (Isaiah 30:8).
  • We believe God exists in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each active in creation (Genesis 1:1, 2, 26) and redemption (John 1:1-14). We believe Jesus Christ is fully God (I Timothy 3:16; I John 5:20), and He came in flesh fully Human (I John 4:2, 3; 5:20; II John 1:7) by a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:25; Luke 1:26-35).
  • We believe the Bible is the supreme and final authority for faith and practice. We use the King James Version as the most accurate version translated from the Greek and Hebrew original transcripts.
  • We believe in the vicarious substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross, and His atonement for the sin of the world, efficient for all who repent and believe on Him. We believe He was buried and rose again bodily on the third day (I Corinthians 15:3, 4) and ascended 40 days later to the right hand of the Father, from whence He will personally return for His Church (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17).
  • We believe there be an ultimate judgement for unbelievers who reject the Gospel.
  • We teach that salvation is wholly of God by grace through one’s faith in the redemption work of Jesus Christ, the merit of His shed blood and death – not on the basis of human merit or works (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-10; I Peter 1:18-19)
  • We believe in the return of Christ to this earth to set up His Kingdom and judge the world in righteousness.
  • We believe that Adam was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26), but through willful sin, he fell. All his human descendants are born with the inherited sin nature (Romans 5:12) and are under the just condemnation of God (John 3:36) and in need of the Saviour (Acts 4:12) and His New Birth (John 3:3, 7) after reaching the age of accountability.
  • We believe that salvation from everlasting punishment and security into a state of eternal fellowship with God.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all who receive Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is responsible for the quickening from death unto life and for the continuing work of sanctification in the believer.
  • We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, or born-again believers who confess Christ and remember His death in the sacrament of communion.
  • We believe Christians are to live by the standards set forth in the Word of God to show the world we are santified.
  • We believe in the priesthood of the believers (I Peter 2:9), and that God commands each believer to walk in the Spirit, not after the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
  • We believe in Creationism as exactly recorded in the Book of Genesis chapters 1 and 2 in literally 6 days of creation.
  • We believe Christians are called to witness and preach the Gospel to all people, for God is no respecter of persons and it is not His will that any man should perish (II Peter 3:9).
